My Downtown Guelph

I am officially on vacation for a week and I plan to spend it on my butt, with a book, in the middle of nowhere.

Today I picked up a couple used books from Macondo on Wilson Street, tossed ‘em in my bag and I am all set for summer.

The guy working in the store even let me bring my dog inside as long as she promised not to eat anyone. So I had a good, long browse through the fiction section and ended up with a novel from an author I know and love, and a collection of short stories from an author I am getting to know.

Sure I could use and e-reader, but I like reading while sitting in a floaty chair in the pool or in the river, so I think I’ll stick with my slightly shabby paperbacks. They’ll still work even if they get a bit soggy.
